The Story of Babycakes

Just like you and I , Babycakes was conceived in the bedroom. Just like you and I, Babycakes started small and began to grow. However, unlike you and I, Babycakes was spawned by an orgy of glitter, flashing lights, icecream and electro pop. Babycakes also grew bigger than you and I. It became too big for the bedroom, it couldn’t fit in, it was suffocating and needed to get out. The internet and nightclubs filled with hairspray provided the room that Babycakes needed. Here it could stretch out, expand and continue to grow throughout the world.

And with an irrepressible appetite, Babycakes is still growing. Not only does it boast a successful clothing line but now also Babycakes records. With this comes Babycakes parties and the Manchester store. Yet Babycakes is much more than this, it is a way of life. Babycakes has become its own kingdom, a land where popsicles fall from rainbows and people dance in submarines that float in outer space. What began as Paul’s bedroom project, his own personal escape from the mundane has now become a place for kids world wide to sparkle.
